The Yeah You's performed in front of a few hundred lucky fans at BBC's Maida Vale studios in London this week to record for Dermot O'Leary's Radio 2 Saturday afternoon 'Introducing' show. Together with their debut single '15 Minutes', now slated for a June 8th UK release through Universal Island, they performed tracks from their forthcoming album (expected this August) including "Getting Up With You", "Won't Be Long" & "Ready To Love", a track which NME have aready stamped as 'a future number one'. An unexpected treat for those in attendance and fans tuning into the radio show, to be broadcast on 30th May between 3pm and 6pm GMT, is a cover of Duran Duran's 'Ordinary World' which has been recorded for Radio 2's Great British Song Book. Dermot O'Leary, who hosted the event for his radio show, commented 'The Yeah You's are a really great band and we're really pleased to have them on the show. I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more from them'. In a massive few weeks for the band, The Yeah You's have also been playlisted (C) on Radio One and playlisted (A) on Radio 2, have had their debut single played at half time during the Champions League Final, have recorded a cover of Aswad's classic 'Shine' for the Island Records 50th Anniversary album and are also set to storm the stage at this month's Isle of Wight festival before supporting The Script in concert in the coming weeks. I would say look out for them but you shouldn't miss them if they keep this up. The single '15 Minutes' and the forthcoming Yeah You's album was mastered by John Webber at Blue Pro Mastering, London.
