What is this now?
Blue Pro have changed their analogue / digital converters used in all sessions to the Prism Dream ADA8-XR, perhaps the best audio converter on the market.

And what is that exactly?
An 8 channel audio converter and interface suitable for mastering and sound recording. It is also fully compatible with Pro Tools HD.

Why the Prism ADA-8XR?
They are certainly the cleanest and most transparent converters we have heard and allows you to hear sounds as intended with no unwanted or false colouration. We can now truly hear the benefits of our high quality outboard and microphones now. Its 8 channels allow it to be used for both tradiional stereo and separation mastering as well as our mixing and recording sessions. We were astounded by how good these converters are!

How does this affect me?
All sessions, whether recording, mixing or mastering will use the converters whenever an analogue piece of equipment is used or when anything is being recorded. The new converters will capture any sound in a significantly more accurate and clear way than we could before.

Sounds great. If they're so good why don't all studios have them?
Well not all studios have great engineers either but these particular converters are approximately £6500 each so certainly no other studio in our price range will have them.
