CHARLES WESTROPP


Charles Westropp is a true talent beyond his years and has been working in the industry for over a decade. As an exceptional songwriter, lightning fast programmer and accomplished producer and engineer Charles is someone that makes a real impact on any project.


Being previously based within major facilities such as Matrix, Sphere & Strongroom before becoming a resident at Blue Pro Studios, Charles has been around and learnt from the best. Add to that a first class degree and masters in Music Technology from LCM and your material could not be in better hands.


Outside of his commercial work Charles is also a founding member and producer of the band The Operators.

JOHN WEBBER


John started his career as South East Essex College as the studio co-coordinator and eventually assisted on numerous sessions there. By the age of 20 John was engineering his own sessions at various studios such as Maple. At 21 John was invited straight onto a second year degree in Music Technology at the established LCM (London College of Music). It was here that John had the time to enhance his production and songwriting ability. John states, “I never wanted to be one of these engineers who just sit around and talked about gear, it’s imperative to have a range of skills and be musical these days”  

 

During his time in study john managed to also still work as a freelance engineer. He also wrote and recorded library music that featured on numerous infomercials for brands such as ‘Currys’ and ‘Panasonic’.


John worked freelance in several studios throughout the UK before becoming one of the resident producers and engineers at Blue Pro Studios and has now established himself producing, mixing and mastering for a variety of indie, pop and rock acts from unsigned prospects through to major label talent.


Credits including work for acts such as Rooster, Polar Bear, Acoustic Ladyland, Simon Webbe, Ella Jones, for clients such as SonyBMG, EMI, V2 Recordings, Universal, Riverboat and Island Records.




PAUL BORG


Paul Borg has established himself firmly in music as an Engineer, Writer and Producer having worked in the industry for over 20 years.


His early career began at the now infamous Roundhouse Studios in North London where his early work and talent quickly cemented himself amongst the upper echelons, engineering and mixing with some of the biggest pop and dance acts in the UK with artists such as Yazz, The Beloved, Rebel MC, The KLF and Danny D and becoming affectionately referred to as ‘The SSL mac daddy’ for his exceptional mixing abilities.


After leaving Roundhouse Studios Paul successful carved his own success independently and secured a long-standing relationship with Talkin’ Loud Records where he produced many hits include the critically acclaimed debut album “Listen” from Urban Species. Paul’s talents have also developed way beyond his pop and dance work. Paul has built a reputation as a versatile and multifaceted talent within the industry and has recorded and mixed for such diverse artists as Hip Hop giants Gang Starr and Naughty by Nature as well as soul legend Al Green. Paul has also recently produced several albums for critically acclaimed world music legend Mory Kante.


Paul also lectures at TVU and London College of Music.
